Goodwill Rocks!

One day Sky and I were bored and decided to head up to Goodwill to browse around and I found this awesome butler table. I immediately knew what I wanted to do with it and the best part was that it only cost $6!!!! Score!! I forgot to take pictures of what it looked like before I started taking it apart and fixing it, but I took a few pictures of what it looked like before I painted it.

This top part just sat on the table frame. They weren't attached by anything (probably because it was used as a serving tray).

I had already painted one side of the legs when I realized that I hadn't taken any pictures. So I quickly snapped a couple of pictures of the legs before they were painted and after one side was painted.

My work station! :)

Now for the moment you've all been waiting for! Here is the finished product:

The finished product!

I hand painted all of the flowers on and her name on it. I used a flower stencil that I made out of carstock using my cricut. Don't look too closely because it's by far not perfect!

The side and back wings all fold up or go flat. I screwed the front wing all the way down so that it stays there.

My little Sky loves her desk/table! She put some pictures on it and her jewlery on it and added a princess stool.

I must say that this is one of my favorite projects that I have done! It was so much fun and turned out better than I expected it to! My husband helped me a little bit in putting it back together. I'm still learning how to be a handyman. :) Next project is a stool for it and a jewelery/hair thing holder for it.

Spring Decorating Ideas!

This is where I put my lollies! I also got a plate from the dollar store (their plates are suprisingly not bad) and cut out a vinyl bunny from my sillhouette for an easy fix! Another fun paper craft is the pinwheels. Super easy, and cheap.
I always love using candy in my decor! It adds lots of fun, festive color!
If you need a tutorial for the paper pinwheels go here!
I have big, long windows in my living room, so I love to create these banners for every holiday (or anytime). Just cut the pendants out (I just eyeball the first one, then use it as a stencil for the rest of them). I hot glue it to whatever ribbon, or string I have and hang it up! I added some rolled flowers, and lace to this one!
I found these awesome printables here on Kiki Creates! She has a ton of different colors you can choose from! AND...they're FREE!!!! I hope this gave you some good ideas!

Spice'n it Up!

I was at Goodwill the other day and found this little gem for only $1! I was so excited! I've never had a spice rack, but I've always wanted one. I love how it turned out!

I forgot to take a before picture, but this is an in between picture. It was the color you see at the top before I painted it black. I didn't worry too much about spray painting it perfectly because I knew I wanted a different color on top.

Here is the top of the finished product! I painted it red, then distressed the edges by sanding them with sand paper so that the black paint underneath came through. I then cut out the word Spice with my Cricut (Plantum Schoolbook cartridge, Roly Poly) and attached a knob to the top.

Did I mention that it spins?! I love it!!

Ta-da! The finished product! I LOVE it!! The best thing about it was that it only cost me $1 for the spice rack. I had the paint, knob and vinyl just laying around from previous projects.

After doing the spice rack I was inspired to label my canisters with vinyl. I love how my kitchen counter looks now with the spice rack and my canisters! I love how something so simple can really "spice" up the place! :)
